THE STORY
It is important to provide young athletes the opportunity to enhance their understanding of financial literacy and the changing landscape of Name Image and Likeness (NIL).
With increasing financial opportunities for young athletes, it is critical that they are exposed to the fundamentals that lead to financial success, whether they play professionally or not. We wanted to start planting those seeds of success so, that they are better prepared for their life's journey, on and off the court.
To better prepare young athletes, the Athletic Development Group (ADG) created ADG MONEYBALL in collaboration with the National Basketball Players Association (NBPA) to be a basketball showcase with financial literacy and NIL training. The union representing all current NBA players, the NBPA stands with ADG in its commitment to improving outcomes for all athletes through education.

FINANCIAL IQ
Athletic Development Group (ADG) designed ADG MONEYBALL to enhance the financial IQ and optimize the NIL knowledge of athletes so they can maximize their financial futures.
OUR GOALS

Teach financial literacy and educate young athletes about the obstacles, pitfalls, and opportunities that they will encounter during their athletic or professional career

Supply tools to optimize their financial options

Provide access to subject matter experts, mentors, and other resources

Through a series of seminars lead by subject matter experts,
each player will build a foundation from which they can make better financial decisions.

NIL 101
We will provide information on the fundamentals and strategies for athletes to develop their understanding of Name Image and Likeness (NIL). It is critical they understand some of the aspects of NIL that include but is not limited to the following:
